God loves us and wants us to experience a peaceful and abundant life. "I have come
that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly” (John 10:10).
Because we choose to disobey God and sin, we are separated from God. "For all have
sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23). The result of our sin is
eternal separation from God. "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God
is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Romans 6:23).
God, however, has provided a way to be reconciled to Him – Jesus Christ. “For God
so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him
shall not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16). Jesus Christ died on the Cross
and rose from the grave. He paid the penalty for our sin and provided a way to be
reconciled to God.
